Hayes, located in western Greater London is a town that became part of the Hillingdon borough in 1965. It is situated west of Charing Cross. Hayes is an ideal commute distance from the city of London with the journey a mere 20 minutes to Paddington Station. The area of Hayes is featured in the Domesday Book and in 2011 its population was recorded of 95,763. Not only a beautiful place to live but convenient for those who work in the capital.
There are several things to do in Hayes, as well as the vibrant shops, Stockley Park sports its own golf club, and companies such as Marks and Spencer, Apple and Canon can be found here. You can also find Northala Fields, right next to the A40 where they have playgrounds, a visitors centre and lakes for fishing and model boating. Opened in 2008 and consisting of four man-made hills and lakes, with a mosaic and visitor centre.
